Our Classes

Designed for every trimester, this class supports strength, stability, and mobility as your body changes. Sessions focus on breath, alignment, and maintaining a steady connection to your core, work that has been shown to support posture, reduce back and pelvic pain, and help prepare the body for labour. Our instructors offer modifications throughout, so the class moves with you rather than around you. We recommend clearance from your healthcare provider before your first session.
-
Created for the first year after birth, this class focuses on rebuilding core strength, supporting pelvic floor function, and returning to movement at a pace that makes sense for your body. The work is targeted and structured, addressing common postpartum symptoms like back pain, instability, and diastasis recti while restoring the strength and confidence that carries into everyday movement. We recommend clearance from your healthcare provider before your first session

The starting point for Pilates at The Alabaster House Foundation focuses on alignment, core engagement, and controlled movement patterns, building the base for a practice that is both sustainable and effective. Open to all levels, including prenatal and postpartum clients cleared for general reformer work. Not sure where to start? We're happy to help you find the right class before you book.
-
A full-body reformer class that builds on foundational Pilates with more dynamic, strength-based movement. Signature incorporates progressive resistance and sculpting sequences to improve strength, endurance, and muscle tone, while maintaining the precision and alignment that keep the work effective. It is a more challenging class, designed to deepen your practice and expand your capacity. You're ready for Signature when you can move through most Foundation exercises with good form and without much explanation. Intermediate exercises require more strength, coordination, and balance, so if you are new to the reformer, Foundation is your starting point.
Prenatal and postpartum clients should complete several sessions in their respective classes before joining Signature. Clients in their second or third trimester must receive studio approval before attending. Please attend a Prenatal class first and let your instructor know you are interested in Signature. You should be comfortable lying on your back for up to ten minutes, and pregnancy wedge pillows are available in the studio. Not sure which class is right for you? Reach out before you book and we'll point you in the right direction.
