Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

The Role

The Alabaster House delivers wraparound care by weaving together physical, emotional, and social support for pregnant and postpartum women, all through a streamlined concierge-led suite of offerings. Physical therapy is a cornerstone of this care, ensuring women have the tools, expertise, and encouragement they need to restore function, manage pain, and build strength through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond.

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in women’s health, with specialized knowledge in prenatal and postpartum rehabilitation. This is a role for someone who is both technically proficient and deeply empathetic — a practitioner who thrives on creating safe, individualized treatment plans and who values collaboration in a multidisciplinary care environment. The role includes evaluating, diagnosing, counseling, educating, and treating patients in the Atlanta area through in-studio and telehealth appointments.

What You’ll Do

  • Care for patients with a focus on common physical conditions associated with pregnancy and postpartum recovery. 

    • Provide initial evaluation of functional needs and outcomes

    • Deliver individualized evaluations and treatment plans for prenatal, postpartum, and general women’s health clients

    • Provide expert care for conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti, musculoskeletal pain, c-section scar treatment and other postpartum recovery needs.

    • Continually review functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes

    • Offer progress assessments, track outcomes, and communicate clearly with clients and the broader care team

    • Educate clients on safe movement, body mechanics, and long-term strategies for recovery and resilience

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of clinicians to create holistic client support plans and ensure exceptional outcomes

  • Contribute to program development, including specialty workshops and educational events.

  • Document patient education and progress in accordance with practice standards.

  • Engage with clients via messaging to provide responses to questions as they are sent

  • Maintain professional growth in the area of educational techniques to promote quality patient education services.

  • Consistently ensure a world-class level of clinical care and patient experience; ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care, including maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications and Work Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with advanced training in Pelvic Health

    • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution

    • Current physical therapy license in the state of Georgia

  • Specialized training/certification in women’s health or pelvic floor physical therapy from one of the following (required)

    • Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC)

    • Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Obstetric Health (CAPP-OB)

    • Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health (CAPP-Pelvic)

    • American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS)

  • 2+ years of clinical experience (women’s health or orthopedic focus strongly preferred)

  • Carry professional liability insurance

  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week in an in-person setting

  • Maintain schedule visibility and work with The Alabaster House concierge to keep your availability up to date for current and future clients
