Pilates Instructor

Location: The Studio by Alabaster House - Morningside, Atlanta, GA

The Alabaster House delivers wraparound care by weaving together physical, emotional, and social support for pregnant and postpartum women, all through a streamlined concierge-led suite of offerings.

The Studio by Alabaster House is our dedicated Pilates space, opening soon in Morningside, specializing in prenatal and post-partum recovery, while also offering a range of dynamic and effective Pilates classes for the entire neighborhood. Here, every class is a chance to deepen trust, build resilience, and help women feel strong in their bodies and roles.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in not only traditional Reformer Pilates but also be qualified in specialized instruction for prenatal and postpartum clients. This role is perfect for a practitioner who is not only technically proficient but also empathetic, engaging, encouraging, and committed to creating a safe, uplifting space for members of all stages and levels.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead semi-private and private reformer Pilates classes that meet high standards of technical excellence, safety, and client care

  • Specialize in perinatal (pregnant and postpartum) offerings, integrating modifications and progressions as needed

  • Create a warm, inclusive, and encouraging environment from set up to wrap-up, arriving at an appropriate team before each class

  • Offer progress assessments, tailor modifications, and adjust supports as clients evolve

  • Help curate class schedules, plan specialty workshops, and contribute to program development

  • If required, integrate your work with other Alabaster House services; for instance, coordinate with Physical Therapists when clients need additional support.

  • Maintain professionalism in all client interactions - representing Alabaster House’s standard of care

Qualifications:

  • Certified Pilates Instructor with credentials from a recognized Pilates training program, and qualified in Reformer (required), with Mat and Tower also desirable

  • Specialized certification or training in prenatal/postnatal Pilates (ability to teach with safety and awareness for pelvic floor, diastasis recti, etc.).

  • 2+ years of teaching experience (group, private or semi-private).

  • Strong anatomy knowledge, especially in women’s health, pelvic anatomy, spine, and core function. (Ability to modify for pelvic floor challenges, diastasis recti, other common postpartum issues highly desirable)

  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Availability for a minimum of 10 hours a week

  • Reliable, punctual, collaborative, and high personal integrity

  • Passion for women’s health and fitness, with a supportive and empathetic teaching style and a bias for service

Compensation

  • Competitive base per-class pay rate ($35-50)

  • Additional commission per attendee

  • Guaranteed payment for late cancellations and no-shows

  • Flexible scheduling within hours of operation
